My stay at Swinton Bivouac was absolutely delightful. The location was peaceful and surrounded by beautiful nature. The lodge I stayed in was clean and well-maintained, with all the necessary provisions for a comfortable stay. I particularly loved using the log burner, which added a cozy touch to the experience. The breakfast box options were delicious, especially the sausages which were a standout. The estate provided plenty of opportunities for outdoor activities and exploring, with maps and games for the kids. I highly recommend this place for a serene and relaxing getaway.
The initial coldness of the yurt upon arrival, as the log burner was not prepared in advance. It took some time to warm up, especially with children.

The facilities provided were great, with everything we needed for a comfortable stay. the staff were friendly and welcoming, ensuring that we felt at ease throughout our stay.
We were a bit disappointed with the children's food options as they were quite expensive for what we received. the menu wasn't very child-friendly, and our toddlers ended up only eating the meat and bread, which made it feel like we were paying a lot for not much food.

The location of the hotel was absolutely stunning, with beautiful surroundings and a peaceful atmosphere. the bed was incredibly comfortable, ensuring a good night's sleep after a long day of activities. the warm shower was a much-needed luxury, providing relaxation and comfort. the friendly and helpful staff added to the overall positive experience, making sure all our needs were met.
The check-in process was a bit difficult, especially when arriving after dark, as the signs for directions were poor. the cooking area for larger groups was rather small, making it a bit challenging to accommodate everyone.

Convenient location, perfect weather, beautiful scenery. Comfortable beds, cozy ambiance. Thoughtful touches, like welcome gifts and hot chocolate. Log burner kept us warm all night. Enjoyed bonfire event and exploring the large grounds. Disconnecting from technology was a nice change, played board games by candlelight.

Quiet lodge with hammock, burner, and wood stove. Well-appointed bathroom with lovely hand wash. Cafe and central facilities had swing, cinema room, chickens, and play area. Rechargeable light bulbs and great service. Quirky, traditional feel. Beautiful view of Yorkshire Dales. Brilliant breakfast. Fires and provisions provided. Wonderful games and maps for kids. Electric tent light and cleaner kitchen would be nice. Comfy beds and delicious food at the cafe. Great for groups and families. Can't wait to return!

The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. They went out of their way to make us feel welcome and even surprised us with a special gift for our children. The yurt itself was beautifully decorated and had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. We loved being surrounded by nature and had a great time exploring the outdoor area.
The menu at the on-site cafe was a bit limited, but the food we did have was tasty. , the road leading to the hotel was a bit rough and narrow, so it was a bit challenging to drive there.

We had a fantastic stay at the tree lodge in Swinton Estate. the warm welcome and beautiful surroundings made us feel right at home. the lodge itself exceeded our expectations, being cosy and well-equipped with everything we needed. We particularly loved the off-grid experience and enjoyed cooking and relaxing by the log burner. the views were breathtaking and we felt truly relaxed and at peace. the breakfast boxes were delicious, and my partner even said it had the best sausages he had ever eaten. We also appreciated the surprise evening parcel of smores. it was an idyllic stay in a fabulous lodge. Cons: Nothing not to like! 😃.

The lodges at Swinton Bivouac Masham offer an amazing location, surrounded by beautiful scenery. The lodges may be smaller than expected, but they still provide a cozy and delightful stay. The porch allows you to enjoy complete darkness and tranquility at night. The breakfast served at the cafe is brilliant, and the provision of fires and firewood adds to the overall experience.
It would have been nice if the site offered some essential amenities like tea, sugar, and coffee.

Margaret
The location was fantastic, offering a serene and picturesque setting for a relaxing break. The facilities were great, with a range of activities for families and a well-equipped kitchen in the lodge. The beds were surprisingly comfortable, providing a good night's sleep.
The communication from the hotel was lacking, with unanswered questions before arrival. The cleanliness of the yurt was not up to standard, and some of the provided items, such as the cooler box and frying pan, were unusable due to dirt and damage.

The value for money at this place was incredible! The room was absolutely magical, with candlelight, wood fires, and even a hot tub under the trees. The location was perfect, with plenty of walks and activities nearby in the beautiful Swinton Estate. The staff were so helpful and friendly, making us feel welcome from the moment we arrived.
The only thing that could have made breakfast choices better was a bit more variety.

Cleanliness could be improved.
